All matches have been very intense in first rounds, and it seems that the points gained will play a decisive role in the upcoming rounds in the battle for medals.

Serbia remains the sole leader with a perfect 8 match points, defeating Greece 2.5–1.5.

Ukraine upset top-seeded Germany with the same 2.5–1.5 score. Seven teams — Greece, Netherlands, Azerbaijan, France, Spain, England, and Slovenia — closely follow with 6 match points each.

In the Women’s section, Poland and Germany share the lead with perfect 8 match points. Poland narrowly beat Bulgaria 2.5–1.5, while Germany also edged Azerbaijan 2.5–1.5. The rating favourite, Georgia, moved closer to the leaders after its victory in this round.

Top after Round 4:

Open: 1st Serbia (8 pts), 2nd Ukraine (7 pts), 3rd–9th Greece, Netherlands, Azerbaijan, France, Spain, England, Slovenia (6 pts)

Women: 1st–2nd Poland, Germany (8 pts), 3rd–6th Georgia 1, Bulgaria, France, Ukraine (6 pts)

The games of the next round will start at 15:00 in local time.
